I want to major in psychology and be a counselor/therapist, not a psychologist because then i would need a doctrate degree which i don’t want to do. can i be a MFT with just a masters degree?
I believe that most states allow a Master’s Degree level MFT to practice. However, in addition to a Master’s Degree you would have to pass a licensing exam in order to practice in your state. Look up you state licensing board for more information on requirements for your state.
